Happy Friday!
Happy Friday to everyone! I haven't posted in a while and I think it has to do somewhat with people in my life reading my blog and then trying to give me a hard time about having one. I don't know why people try to force negativity down people's throats when they don't understand something so I took some time off to think if I wanted to keep this blog up. I thought about it long and hard and realized that I'm not going to stop just because of a mere handful of people, so I will be back next week with some posts here. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

8 Bizarre Ways Corporations Have Attempted to Save $$
Happy Monday! It's not the best day of the week but we will get through it. I was browsing the web today and I found this article. It's about how some corporations take drastic measures to save a buck. From Mcdonalds robbing us from an extra piece of cheese on a double cheeseburger, to the government saving thousands on just changing the font they use. My favorite one has to be UPS implementing a "no left turn" policy. They figured out you waste more gas making left turns then right turns. Pretty crazy! It made me think, have I ever seen an UPS truck making a left turn? I think I will be in the lookout now and see if I spot one. Not only do those UPS drivers have to hustle to get their packages delivered in time, they have to plan their routes so they don't accidentally make a left turn? You can check out this article from the link I posted below it's an interesting read. Hope everyone has the best Monday they can possible have and don't worry Tuesday is almost here.

First Friday at Elaborate Theory
Happy Friday everyone! Today is our first Friday here at Elaborate Theory and I mentioned yesterday it would be a "Freaky Friday". Freaky Fridays are going to be where we find the oddest, craziest news stories we can find. Although it won't be happening this Friday. I just had a newborn baby with my wife so things are kind of chaotic at the moment so I didn't have time to do some research. I hardly had time to sleep! So I thought instead I would write an introduction about who I am and how this blog came about. I'm a 32 year old happily married man with a brand new baby girl. I'm currently in school majoring in Radiology. I didn't jump on the school boat right out of high school so I'm doing it now. I went into the Army straight out of high school and then drove a big rig for 3 years across the United States of America. I have stepped foot in every state except for Maine and Alaska. It's definitely on my bucket list to get to those states so I can say I have been to them all! I live in Orange County in beautiful Southern California right next to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland! I have had many experiences in my life and lots of funny and crazy stories through my journeys. I made this blog not focused on any one topic so I could write about what's fresh or new in my mind that day. I didn't want to focus on one thing and then get bored with it and quit. When I came out of the Army, in 2002, I started an online radio station which I called elaborate theory. I played all different types of music and didn't stick with one genre. Back in those days there wasn't so many music options on the net like there is today so my station was somewhat successful. I didn't want to leave that name with the station so I continued it on here with this blog. I'm looking forward to the future and will be working on the blog and updating it when I can. First thing I'm working on is getting a new header for the site and getting everything behind the scenes fine tuned and straightened out. We have a Facebook page and Instagram account that you can follow to know when the site gets updated. Have a great Friday everyone and we will see you tomorrow!

Celebrating Throwback Thursday with Youtube's first ever video
Hello everyone! In honor of throwback Thursday I found YouTube's first ever video that was uploaded. It's pretty crazy to see how far things have come since 2005 on the internet. I thought it was a good fit for our first ever throwback Thursday here at Elaborate Theory. It's a very short video so I added another one below which is a pretty funny watch. Hope you all have a great Thursday and we will see you tomorrow for our first ever Freaky Friday! What is Freaky Friday? You will just have to come see to find out!

Hump Day Hospital Heroin Dealer
Yep it's Wednesday, which is Hump Day, almost to the weekend, hang in there. I read a crazy news story about a woman in the ICU in a hospital in Pennsylvania selling heroin out of her hospital room! The hospital noticed lots of traffic coming in and out of her room and some of the people visiting didn't even know her last name. The police searched the room and they found $3,800 worth of heroin! That takes some guts! It really shows how some people think they can get away with anything. I mean couldn't she stop the drug dealing while the doctors worked on her? I'm glad the hospital picked up on this because we don't need that kind of action going on in our hospitals. What do you all think about this? Should the hospital not treat her because she was doing this? Busy day here so this is a quick post today. Have a great hump day!

Happier social networking app makes me happy
Happier is a new app I found on my phone last night while browsing the iPhones App Store. I don't work for them nor am I getting paid to write this but I just wanted to share this great app with everyone. These days social networks are flooded with negative people, comments and ideas. I like to call Facebook, "fake book", because people mostly post only certain things and sort of create a fictional life online. I have refrained from sharing certain information on Facebook just because I don't want so many people giving their two sense about topics I post. This is why I like the idea of Happier. Happier is based on only focusing on the happy things in life. They don't have to be big achievements but anything that makes you happy. There is scientific study that backs this practice that from focusing on more happy things in your life you will feel less stressed and lower your risk of heart attack. It has been a breath of fresh air being on this network and I'm already looking and thinking of things that make me happy. If you are tired of peoples negative posts on other social networks, I highly recommend Happier. Now it's time for me to go post about how this blog makes me happy.
